Product Review: Burst Charcoal Expanding Floss

Story time: a few years ago, my hygienist noticed two problem areas in my mouth where my teeth aren’t super close together. These two spots collect food, plaque and tartar.

She suggested an expanding floss, but since the rest of my teeth are so tight (I’ve had braces) I had the hardest time shimmying the floss between my teeth. I was super bummed because I love the idea of expanding floss but it just wasn’t working for me.

When I discovered Burst Expanding Floss I wanted to sing to the heavens! With so many great features, I’m sure you will be singing too:

Pros:

• It’s black, meaning I can see the plaque and food coming out, oddly satisfying

• Charcoal absorbs stains in the nooks and crannies of the teeth (For my fellow coffee, tea and wine drinkers)

• Refillable, because nobody has time for single use plastics

• Subscription, because the most common reply when I ask “Do you floss?” is, “I ran out.”

Cons:

• The price is a little steep (if you don’t use my discount code) but, as they say “you get what you pay for”

• Has a subtle hint of flavor. Coming from traditional waxed mint floss I’m used to a strong menthol vapor that stings the nostrils

Final verdict:

I 100% recommend this floss because I’ve seen the improvement in my oral health, my hygienist has noticed a difference too! But does it pass the ultimate test— would I recommend this to my Grammy? And the answer is yes!
