Wait 30- 60 minutes to brush after eating

Do you brush your teeth before or after eating breakfast? I recommend brushing before breakfast because we must wait at least 30 minutes after eating to brush our teeth. If your weekday mornings are anything like mine, there is definitely not enough time to eat, wait 30 minutes, and brush before rushing out the door. Plus creating a routine, like brushing at the same time each day, will make you less likely to forget.

Our teeth are made of various layers, the outermost enamel, is the hardest substance in the body. Tough as it may be, it is no match for the acid produced by our oral bacteria after eating. Our saliva acts to protect us by neutralizing those acids but it takes time for the saliva to work. So you need to give your enamel time to chill after eating or risk grinding that acid into your already weakened enamel with your toothbrush. One downside to brushing before breakfast is that the toothpaste will make your orange juice taste terrible but it's a small price to pay for healthy teeth.
